Sweet Tooth

Some things never change. I've heard that eating raw cake batter is bad for you, but does that stop me from taking a few licks. I think not. Okay, if I had my way I would eat the whole cake in batter form. Sue me. The funny thing about this picture is that I can't decide if that look on my face is saying "oops, I've been caught" or "I'm getting in as many licks as I can before one of the parents decides they want some." Either way, I'm determined to get some yummy cake batter in my tummy as soon as possible.

I'm not sure where this picture was taken, I'm guessing in our first home in Columbia. I don't remember that home at all. I've seen several pictures of the outside but I don't ever remembering seeing the kitchen. More importantly, what the heck am I wearing? An oversized pink and gray stripe (nice color combination, I must say) sweatshirt with a...pink reindeer? Uh...a pink reindeer. A pink reindeer. This has to be the oddest shirt I've ever seen me wear. Good thing you can't see my pants...who knows what would be on those! And my hair is out of control...again! Sheesh. Those golden locks sure were pretty but clearly hard to manage! Either that or I was just a really rambunctious child. I am my mother's daughter so there is a good chance I was just really rambunctious child. (Love ya, mom!)

Mama taught me to bake at a young age. Yes, mama. My dad loves to cook but he does not bake. So I credit my fabulous baking skills to my mama.

Yep, that is in our first house in Columbia, on Vickie Drive. I was very much into early American look. Your shirt is a Christmas outfit. If I remember right, the pants were fleece (gray) with a cuff of the stripes. It was cute. Your hair was super soft, so it would stay in whatever position it was moved into, I am guessing you were crawling under furniture before you were licking the bowl. Yes, you are your momma's daughter!

That kitchen table is now your craft room table, by the way!
