For Kicks and Giggles

For any of you who doubted, at one point my Dad did have brown hair. This is one of my favorite photos of my dad and me together. It really illustrates our relationship together, even today. He is so goofy and can always make me laugh until my sides hurt. This picture just makes me smile. For one, we had that darn brown recliner long past its due date. It was missing buttons and the fabric was shredding but it was my Dad's favorite recliner so we just kept it. Plus, it was the recliner that he used to rock me to sleep in so he really didn't want to get rid of it. I also love this picture because it captures how much fun I have with my family. I imagine my mom was laughing just as hard right along with us. We always have so much fun together. We make each other laugh so hard.

It looks like my dad is wearing a Jeff Jr. High sweatshirt, a school he used to work at. I really can't tell what I'm wearing. But it is cute. A white t-shirt with yellow trim with matching yellow sweatpants. I've always been very matchy matchy. Something I've been trying to get over now that I'm in the fashion world. I really should be more adventurous with color but I often resort back to my matchy ways. It looks like there might be a care bear on my shirt? It is difficult to tell. I did love the care bears when I was growing up. I had a quilt with all the care bears on it and it was one of my favorites.

Doesn't this picture make you smile? I can't help but smile when I look at it. As I write this post I'm grinning like a fool and I'm sure anyone who is watching is wondering what makes me smile so much. :)
