You're not alone! It's a passion I share as well! Our local PBS did a brilliant documentary on ice cream that is a favorite in our house! And my 2-year old son loves to play ice cream parlor.
Ice cream parlors are a sure sign of neighborhood health. Our neighborhood parlor isn't a vintage design but seeing whole families slurping - that's vintage.

I lived in the town with that Village Ice Cream Parlor. It is Darling! During the summers me and my girls would walk (after visiting the library) for a special cool treat. Love it!
I enjoyed the walk down memory lane. It's been such a long time since I've seen a vintage ice cream parlor....I need to find one to show my kids and so the hunt begins. : )
